We work on a big screen all week and we celebrate over the weekends by spending time on a small screen - read this last month and it’s been stuck in my head! I’ve been having a hard time concentrating and a large part of it can be attributed to my phone. so. easily. distracted - ugh! 10 mins become 30 mins becomes an hour and a half!

I started using the pomodoro technique recently and I found it super helpful. Working on 1 task within a given time limit has helped me sign

What Is Narrative Therapy? Narrative therapy is a style of therapy that helps people become—and embrace being—an expert in their own lives. In narrative therapy, there is an emphasis on the stories that you develop and carry with you through your life. As you experience events and interactions, you give meaning to those experiences and they, in turn, influence how you see yourself and the world. You can carry multiple stories at once, such as those related to your self-esteem, abilities, relatio

Cleanse Ritual : Start your day with self care

Human beings are kind of hardwired to love rituals. We have evolved with them as part of our DNA. Some cultures still have wonderfully rich and detailed rituals that are very much engrained in modern-day life.
Some of the rituals one should follow:

    Rituals for the Poor Time
    1.Rise early
2.Burn some incense and dry brush your body from the feet up, for a total of 3 to 4 minutes
3.Have a shower, brush your teeth and scrape your tongue
    4.Make sure to rehydrate...  more

Utpluthih is also known as tolasana – scales pose,🧘‍♂️ Familiar to those who practice the Ashtanga sequence; Utpluthih or Tolasana builds upper body and core strength dramatically, but it also requires this strength to be able to hold the position. Utpluthih brings about an awareness of how much strength, discipline and balance is needed for other arm balancing poses, as well as cultivating focus. As with all poses, if the full and final expression isn’t available to you (yet!) then do whatever

    The 8 limbs of Yoga

While many of us practice asanas regularly, they just form one part of Yoga.

    6) dharana (concentration)
    7) dhyana (meditation)
    8) samadhi (absorption)

These eight steps basically act as guidelines on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. They serve as a p

    🌺Simple Equation 📝 🙏
    Raise Sattva (Balanced,Clarity) = Reduce Rajas(read Active, Passion)+ Reduce Tamas(read Dullness,Heaviness,lethargy)
    🙏
Sattva is a desirable quality that one seeks because it gives good clarity and keeps ones mind habitually happy 😊 🙏
So to reduce Rajas practice Asanas 🤸‍♀️ while to reduce Tamas practice Pranayama. 🧘‍♀️
    🙏

Pranayama practice - a test of my fitness levels !

    .

I keep 1 day aside to do my ‘complete’ pranayama practice

Honestly i find it so challenging that for now 1 day is all I can manage 😥

All of the Asana practice I do is :

-To be able to sit in Padmasana for an hour minimum at a stretch

-To be able to sit absolutely straight without any stress in my back or neck

-To be able to hold my ‘bandhas’ ( the 3 internal body locks )

My sequence : Mudra, Kriya , Pranayama

    Kriya : Kapal

If you are keen to make changes and follow a slower, simpler way of life but haven't got a clue where to begin, here some ideas to start with-
less social media and phones, more reading - want to reduce your time on social media then check your phone's battery usage - it tells you what percentage of battery is used by each individual app. Shocked by what you've seen? I know I was! Aim to get those numbers down. Also, the more you use the battery, the more your phone needs charging. Think of it
