1. Limit your exposure to the sun
While SPF is important, the greatest strategy to avoid sunspots and ageing skin is to avoid being in the sun! But it doesn't imply you should spend the entire day in your room. All you have to do is find modest methods to stay out of direct sunshine. Avoid placing your study or work desk near a window, for example. Another option is to close your window shades or request a seat in the middle of the plane to avoid being exposed to the intense UV radiation at that altitude.
2. Incorporate antioxidants into your diet
Including vitamin C or E in your diet is a simple method to give your skin a healthy shine without having to use vitamin C serums, lotions, or other peptides. Antioxidants are beneficial to your body on the inside as well as protecting your cells from free radicals and diseases. You can start incorporating blueberries, strawberries, mulberries, raspberries, kale, beets, and spinach into your meals.
3. Use a silk pillowcase to sleep
You've probably seen it before, but many influencers and corporations are pushing sleeping on a silk pillowcase on the internet. Is it, however, effective? While we may not have the same scientific basis, we are considerably kinder on your skin. Silk is also anti-acne since it is hypoallergenic, meaning it does not clog pores, resulting in healthy-looking skin. Lack of sleep is another key cause, so try to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
4. Drink plenty of water
There's no way to get smooth, baby-like skin with oxygen facials and moisturiser. Hydrating your body not only helps clear your skin, but it also cleanses your pores and can help prevent breakouts due to its capacity to drain toxins from your system.
5. Make sure your brushes are clean
Everyone like their beauty blenders and fluffy brushes, but if you're a regular makeup wearer, I recommend washing your brushes at least once a week. Even if you don't think these items might cause bad skin, you'll be surprised at how germs and bacteria thrive in them—something you should never touch your face with (especially if you have acne or are acne-prone).
6. Exercise on a regular basis
Sweating is the best way to remove toxins from your body, and exercise causes you to sweat. Working exercise increases blood circulation (which is why some of us turn a bright red colour) and oxygen distribution to the skin. Getting that healthy glow from the inside out should be done at least three times a week.
7. Don't drink too much alcohol or eat too much dairy
Dairy products can cause skin breakouts and acne. Milk contains hormones that induce the oil glands to secrete more oil than usual, resulting in clogged pores and a pimple. Excessive alcohol drinking can cause itchy skin and breakouts as a result of a "hot" stomach.
8. Make time to relax and unwind
Stress, believe it or not, can aggravate skin conditions such as psoriasis, rosacea, and eczema. Anxiety can wreak havoc on your skin, causing flare-ups and dullness.
9. Don't pick at your pimples or face
Do you have a pimple? Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever touch it! Throughout the day, touching your face or a pimple can cause dirt to accumulate. Picking at a pimple in the hopes of bursting it can result in scarring and tissue damage if done incorrectly.
